Our Passionate Team

Our committee is made up of volunteers who are passionate about our sport and our association. All have had either regional and/or national experiences that allow them to bring that knowledge back in the form of giving back to our community. We are fortunate to have a great bunch people guiding our development towards the future.

Ani Nock
PRESIDENT

Ani is a long time serving committee member who has been involved with Waikato Touch for over 20 years. She has been a player at provincial and national level including the NZ Womens 27s team and has then given back to the sport via coaching, managing and holding multiple roles over several years on the committee. Ani is currently serving her 2nd year as President and we look forward to her continual growth guidance of our association.

William Cuthers
VICE PRESIDENT

Willie has been involved with Waikato Touch over the past 4 years, as a supportive parent he has managed several Junior and Opens teams and has then gone on to support our President and committee with his wisdom. 

Arita Mauriohooho
SECRETARY

Arita is new to the WTA committee but looks to bring a fresh new approach to our team. As an admin extraordinaire she looks to utilise her skills and youthful ideas to bring different perspective to our association. 

Raynard Haggie
COACHING DIRECTOR

Raynard is now in his second year as the coaching director working alongside Hayden. He brings a wealth of knowledge from his past roles to the association and looks to challenge himself to create personal development opportunities for himself. 

Hayden Karena
COACHING DIRECTOR

Hayden has assisted John with the Coaching Director role over the past season. As a Junior and Masters coach and also a New Zealand representative Hayden brings with him his diverse knowledge of the game. Working alongside John they are our dynamic duo who look after our many coaches.

Tangaroa Whitiora
REFEREES DIRECTOR

 Tangaroa is an avid Touch supporter. As a referee and module organiser Tangaroa has a lot of knowledge in the referee and module space. Tangaroa has refereed at a National and International level who holds a Level 3 (??) badge. Tangaroa brings a wealth of knowledge to the association via a passion for officiating and developing future referees to enable the continued development of our game.

Rachel Stratford
SENIOR DIRECTOR

Rachel has an extensive knowledge in the High Performance pathway. She has managed National teams at Trans-Tasman tests and World cups and has long served as a manager for the Waikato Open Mens team. Rachel assists with our Senior programmes and events leading the way for our future administrators.

Stevie-Rae Manawaiti
TREASURER

Stevie brings an array of experience and expertise to the role and the association. Her past employment and personal voluntary roles support her in assisting the association meet it's financial goals and continue viability.
