This contains the information and links that you need regarding Affiliation to your Province and TNZ, benefits you’re entitled to through Affiliation and access to the new Touch Toolbox resource which has the components you need to help you start up, run or grow your module.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us here at the Province and we’ll do our best to assist you.
We look forward to working with you to grow Touch in your community.
The Waikato Touch Association is the non-profit provincial body responsible for the organisation, development and promotion of Touch in the Waikato Touch region. Waikato Touch is a member of Touch New Zealand, the national not-for-profit body responsible for the organisation, development and promotion of Touch throughout NZ. We both work closely together to strive for:
- Quality Touch competitions in every community
- Touch competitions that reflect the core values of whanau, kotahitanga, tiakitanga & whakatipuranga
- Touch competitions that provide a game for everyone at every level whether it be for fun or competitive
As your provincial association we look to provide the following
- To support you with your module(s) to enable you to provide a quality Touch competition
- To provide a pathway to representative teams
Below is the Affiliation process and the benefits we can provide to you. We are constantly reviewing what and how we support you, to provide you with better service and benefits
Each year we require you to register each module you are running with both us at the Provincial Association level, and Touch NZ (TNZ). This can now be done by filling out just one form. Please click here to complete.
You will only need to do this once this upcoming season. Next year we will send you a link to your information from this year where you will only need to note any modifications or changes from the last season. No more re-filling out the same information.
Module Box Order – As part of the affiliation benefits you will receive a Module Box per registered module to provide you with some equipment to help you run your module (see below for full details). This will sent out around September after we have accepted your affiliation registration.
Payment – you will receive an invoice from Touch NZ once you have confirmed the number of team and players at each module for the year. This will need to be paid by the date as per invoice.
- Free use of the Sporty Technology Platform for Touchto allow you to provide a full technology experience to your players, saving you time and enhancing the professionalism of the competition. We’ll support you, with Sporty, including getting it set up, so if you’re hesitant with technology don’t worry we’ll be there to help you. The Sporty platform includes:
- Free website– customised for you
- Online team registration– can be done by the individuals now so it’s not all on the team manager. Next year you can send out the team link to the manager and only changes will need to be made. This saves them time and it’s easy marketing for you to get teams registered
- SKED Draws and Results– once you have the teams registered we will provide you the software to simply do your draws and publish them on your website. It's easy to make changes during the season, and can be done in real-time with communication sent to the teams to advise them. Results can then be uploaded at the end of the night
- Game Day App– this will allow both teams to enter scores as it happens so no more uploading after the game. Saving you more time and allowing teams instant knowledge of game scores.
Module Packs per affiliated module will contain:
- Your Module is advertised under the "Play Touch" list on the Touch NZ Website
